Tree and Wood

There is about 30,000 different species of trees in the world, most of which are found in the tropical rainforests. In Sweden, where the inland ice has affected the migration of species and development, there are about 30 species of trees, depending on how you define a tree (in relation to bushes).

The most common tree species in the Swedish forest are Norway spruce, Scot’s pine and birch. This is also true for the forests of Bergvik Skog although we actively try to increase the share of deciduous forest on our land.
