Bergvik Skog’s goal for the forest management is to create forest that, based on prevailing conditions, creates the best economy while achieving our objectives for nature conservation and social considerations.

Most of our land is located in areas that have been used for agriculture, mining, as well as timber production for a very long time. To constructively contribute to the conservation of biodiversity, we need to protect especially valuable forests such as Woodland Key Habitats and also recreate structures important for biodiversity in areas that have previously been managed for production and other purposes.

Through a combination of ecological landscape planning, adapted management practies, and general consideration at each felling location, the management of forests will contribute to reaching the conservation objectives of Bergvik Skog.
